So they're going back to the "work first" program. That was started when Bill Clinton was in office. Obama got rid of it.

They know the loopholes there too, on application they say they are only available 9-5. Most beginner jobs are not 9-5

In 1996 Bill Clinton passed the welfare reform act. This required people who got welfare. They had to work 20 hrs a wk to receive welfare. I believe this would be the same thing or is that no longer being enforced? I know Husband’s daughter had at work 30 hours a week I say, bravo

I think it should be 5 school age. Why are you home if your kids are at school all day.

This isn’t a new development. This was the requirement pre Covid! They are just rolling back to the rules from 2019. At least in NC .

I was on food stamps when my daughter was born. I worked two job but didn't earn enough. I was a single parent. I was required to attend school and work the two jobs or seek a third job in order to keep my benefits. I literally was on food stamps for just four months. It's crazy how things have changed.

WI has had a similar rule for years. All able bodied adults recievieng benefits must work X hours a week, or be actively seeking employment. There are some exemptions to that rule in WI.

They are getting paid to lie or are doing it to get paid by TT . Some do not care if it’s the truth just that they become rich
