As a recruiter, I dont care about your CV design. Also I dont care what you did 10 years ago. Also I dont care about your hobbies. Also I dont care about that gap in your resume, I will assume you had something important to do. I want to know what you can do and do you match the job ad I posted. I love to see that the CV is curated to fit the job you are applying for. But if you try to do that without actually understanding the job, it will look out of place. Dont list skills that are needed at ANY job (communicating, never absent without reason, using Google etc). DO list things that most people cant do. I am looking for the BEST candidate and usually it is not the one with the most perfectly designed CV or the one with the best grammar. I am looking for someone who will be qualified to do the job and ideally can move up in their career, so I know they will be motivated to learn and work with enthusiasm. The point of the CV is not to get the job, but to get invited to interview, so dont stress about the CV too much

This isn’t the case in every scenario I have a column designed cv and I’ve had multiple people tell me at interview how much my cv stood out and was easy to follow , my job advisor gave me the same feedback too

People's opinion on CV format is so varied, it requires its own CV .... everyone has opinions but sadly people are not hiring based on CV format anymore 😔😔😔 or at least most are not doing that 😞
