Guys, the favela where tota live is literally one of the safest in Brazil, it is even a tourist spot in Rio de Janeiro where you can take a motorbike taxi and go up the hill and get to know the place. Believe me, he is not in danger, it is even safer there for those who were born and live there, everything is fine..

After watching city of god a movie based in the slums of Rio de Janerio you have a whole different aspect of him.That place is a hard place for anyone to grow up.It’s unlike ‘hoods’ in America people there have to morals nor sympathy towards anyone no matter your age,authority or whether you deserve it or not it’s practically a civil war between the police/government and the favela. The fact he still remains kind hearted is beyond me despite the high crime rate and the risk of just being there he continues to not let that get in the way of making content. I’m not trying to make it as if this place is hell on earth I’m just trying to give you guys a sense of his upbringing. There is still culture thriving in Rio de Janerio and hopefully it becomes safer to live there.
