This was 3 months ago. The day I told the kids I’m pregnant. A few days after I found out I was pregnant and I was shocked as well. This is my 14th pregnancy and 11th baby (3 miscarriages). They have always told me, they wanted to be the first to know when I’m pregnant. (Hubs actually found out with me this time.) As you can tell, they’re shocked. Despite some of their faces, they were ecstatic and in disbelief. I had had a miscarriage months before this and every month they thought I was pregnant again. And every month I said no sorry. Every time I did a reel with them, they asked me if I was pregnant because I love to surprise them. So they were shocked when I actually said I was pregnant. But I know not everyone has children that are excited about another pregnancy. So let’s talk about that. What do you do if your children don’t want any more siblings? Is that a reason to stop? The short answer is no. If we lived according to our children’s wishes and desires, pretty much everything in our life would change. Our diet. Our schedules. Our bed time. We would have yes days every day and no money saved. lol. As children we think we know what’s best. But that’s clearly not true. Children have a moment by moment perspective. Siblings are one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. We will die before our children and their siblings will be the family that lives through their generation. Their ride or dies. Their support systems. Ultimately we must trust God to give life. To know that he knows best. That he sees the full picture. I’m beyond grateful that my husband and children cherish every new life and get excited. But I’m here to encourage you that your future children’s life isn’t less valuable if your children aren’t initially excited about their new sibling. #family #pregnancyannouncement #faith #baby11 #pregnancy
