What is he TALKING about with, "It should be between the doctor and the patient?!" It already is, for every vaccine, not just covid ones! The flu shot, for example, is recommended during flu season, but because I have had bad reactions to them in the past. IDK why, but I always end up HORRIBLY sick with influenza when I get the shot. I'm guessing my immune system is a little bit weak or something, but the last time I had it, I ended up in the ER with a temp of 106°f. Doctors who feel the risks don't outweigh the benefits of a vaccine would absolutely have that conversation with their patients. The over-arching recommendations are just guidelines for people based on the health of the majority; it opens up the conversations on what's best for an individual patient with their doctors. NOT changing it would put into practice what he is saying he wants. NOT recommending it would, most likely, completely hault a feeling of need on both sides to even discuss it, let alone consider getting it or not getting. It's not recommend, so why think about it? Honestly, these people making these recommendations and removing them really need to think things through first. 🤦♀️
