I can appreciate this. People would have more reasons to buy guitars—personal entertainment in their homes, like turning on a music system—but it’s a live instrument. Of course, some natural human playing would be better and probably more enjoyable for some people. This lacks emotion and categorical nuance, which adds to the experience. But I wouldn’t say anything is missing or wrong with a machine doing it like this.

Not gonna lie, Masons old friend and Piano Player would have loved this. Art was his name, and my grandfather was a mechanical engineer and his best friend. So I grew up around mason and have heard CG way too much. Art and Mason were always flabbergasted by my Grandfathers Machines. If you look up Art Maddox’s YouTube you will some of em.

i could imagine some pretty cool pieces could be written specifically for this, like how pieces written specifically for player pianos can do things that a human player just physically cannot.
