also, sometimes it's not pain, it's just choosing not to settle. 💚 ask yourself, what does this person contribute to my life, if it's just now being alone, run.

If my husband dies. Never again, not because he’s bad, he’s so amazing I know that’s a once in a lifetime man….. my friends men & just men in general have put me off all other men forever!! No man could ever live up to this relationship & I know how truly lucky I am.

I live with a woman, she’s my best friend and we’re both 37. Platonically having the time of our lives because we are so organised, thoughtful and kind with each other. Feels like the secret to happiness.

The right man yes. I don't need to parent my partner. He makes life easier, he sees tasks and just does them. He hasn't added to my domestic or emotional labour. He relieves it. Pick the right guy. Don't settle.

As a Family Lawyer in Canada - I tell you that Cohabitation before marriage starts the clock ticking on you sharing in his/their debts/liabilities. You should inquire about a partner's financial health prior to making any decision re Cohabitation. In Canada, such relationship is Adult Interdependant Partners (AIP) (aka Common Law )under the Adult Interdependant Relationship Act 👌

Nooooooooo I’ve been married for more than 15 years… don’t do it. I love him and all but I could’ve been living alone and have him visit sometimes.. now I’m just stuck in a loop of what’s-for-dinner and have-you-taken-out-the-garbage

a lot of women in this thread report the scenario where all the housework is left to them, but I lived the other side of the coin- a man who does clean and cook. Paradise...except it isnt. He became SO critical of me at one point, when it comes to homemaking. I was doing my best, cooking, cleaning and organising as much as him and sometimes more, but he was still allways salty about those things bc I guess hes aware that a man who does homemake is a prize and so sence its "womens job" i shouldve outdone him still, smth like that idk how to explain this energy but suma sumarum even men who do homemake arent such an amazing experience...
