I feel like my house is a very basic ranch box. built in the 70s, you wouldn't know. trying to give it a rustic feel to go with location but I'm either missing or giving farmhouse which I don't want lol

YES! My exterior is a mahogany log cabin, inside is 90’s honey oak everything. I wish my interior matched the outside. But the honey oak is EVERYWHERE

My previous home was farmhouse. I built it to look like one. My new house is a bit older and more Tuscan style. Like a giant stone wall in the kitchen where the stove is, huge, cherry windows, arched doorways etc. I decided to embrace it and do maximalism. My living room is black and it’s amazing.
