@jake.pirnazar: #trackandfield #sprinting #physiology @calciumionsfanclub @Keenanrmalloy @TNF @Scientific Snitch I know you guys don’t sprint but what are your thoughts on my take
I sprint Sunday and Thursday and do full body on Monday and Friday. Should I change it?

It depends if you prioritize sprint gains vs muscle gains tho

So how would this apply with upper lower rest repeat ?

Using this logic does this open up the possibility of going gym twice a day?

Diaz_Brito :
Just don’t do legs before running then ? Legs twice a week but full body eod, run on rest days not following legs

So if I have to hit leg today and I sprinted yesterday I shouldn’t sprint tomorrow?

Are plyometrics even nessecary? If you sprint 2-3 times a week, wouldnt that get as much if not more muscle stiffness and neural adaptions that plyometrics would give. plus its more specefic Cuz its the actual task itself. Please answer

would a few sets of 60m sprints cause muscle damage that carryover to the gym workout the next day?

Why are we achieving muscle damage from lifting that’s not the point of lifting. The driver of hypertofy is mechanical tension so why would we deliberately cause muscle damage

Would this apply for plyometrics and jumping as well

So I have only one question: is it better to sprint and do lower body exercises or sprint and do upper body?

Yo my dad watched this video and gave some feedback: It is better to lift first then sprint rather than lift after sprinting. You will have a reduction in power output and increase risk of injury doing your sprint work first. You can split sessions or put the power training into his conditioning block it would all be determined on his specific goal, if you are in a plyometric, progressive overload or deload cycle. Lots of factors for just a general answer.

Honestly I think you'll be fine if you stick to doing upper body the day before sprints. Especially if you train relatively low volume lifting throughout the week you'll recover

what if I do plyos like broad jump and depth would resisted heaven sprints 2- days later be beneficial

Hey bro, would it be smart to have some carbs after sprinting so you're not glycogen depleted whilst lifting?

If ampk inhibits mtor then why would you sprint right before a workout? Wouldnt it be more practical in terms of energy conservation and mechanically do sprint a few hours after RT?

so do you think sprinting and then doing fb on the same day would be better for muscle gain than sprint and then do fb the next day?

So how would i program full body + sprints every week/ 2 weeks (with the plan to mainly target muscle hypertrophy)
