@makingmacbaby: One of my more vulnerable posts. This topic is really hard for me to talk about but I knoooow I am not the only one. I definitely think postpartum hormones are playing a role here in playing tricks on my mental health but I am so glad to have a counselor in my back pocket to encourage and speak truth to me when unexpected thought patterns pop up #postpartumjourney #postpartum #postpartumlife #postpartumrecovery #fyp #foryou
Totally off topic but why don’t you wear mascara when you do full face makeup?

7 years post here and I still struggle and don’t recognize myself. There is a four finger gap in my abs still and I’m basically at the point of either surgery or acceptance

I am down to my pre birth weight and nothing still fits. Your body really changes and I promise it is different but still beautiful❤️I’m sorry that you’re feeling this way, so many of us know where you’re at. Find new clothes that fit well. I go to second hand places at first just to get some things that fit and not spend a ton of money. I’m sorry❤️

The brain really plays tricks on you no matter what size you are. I lost 55 lbs and I still feel like and see the heavier persin in tbe mirror.

You are absolutely not alone! I feel like this is much more common than what we hear about or talk about. I know I felt it with each baby. I won’t tell you all the things you already know, but please also

I find it insanely frustrating when I am upset about my body and I am told “don’t be silly, you just had a baby” etc. I don’t care that I just had a baby, this is how I feel

This was the worst thing about being pregnant to me. The way I felt made me so depressed. I totally get it and your feelings are valid! Keep..

The crash out before going out is so so real. I’m so sorry we share the same way of thinking 🥺 I wish I had advice that actually made you feel better. Postpartum can be so isolating

I’m about to be 8 week PP and the body dismorphia is so hard right now when I know my son isn’t going to remember what my body looked like but he’ll remember that mommy’s tummy is soft to lay on

There’s a lady on here that reads poems and one of them said “when you die, no one will talk about how skinny you were.” That hit me HARD! I’m 5 months postpartum and struggling but I keep reminding myself of those thoughts. Not sure if that helps.

Sometimes talking out loud about it is so helpful. It’s giving those thoughts a voice and physically hearing how untrue it is. But, it’s a process and you will over come this. PP (4th trimester) is so hard. Hang in there mama. ♥️

See the stretch marks get me I know I’m a small person so to me having stretch marks kills the confidence level if that makes sense
