What’s amazing about petroleum jelly is the healing properties better than anything else you can buy. I had a chunk of flesh out of my leg the size of a marble shaped nickel. I packed it with Vaseline after cleaning the wound. The next morning the missing chunk had filled in with flesh and was near flat to my epidermis again

When I was growing up, Vaseline had a vague petroleum smell to it which somehow during some year it went away and now it’s odorless. Also one jar will last you a lifetime.

Please please please don’t put Vaseline directly onto a fresh burn, it will insulate the burn and make damage worse. It can be helpful in healing minor burns ONLY after you’ve cooled the burn with fresh, tepid water for at least 20 mins.

I use it on dry heels. Lots of uses. And now it’s been shown to work better on wounds that antibiotic ointments
