But if I remember correctly, there was a scene in the first season where Belly and Conrad almost kissed, and when Belly went to talk to him the next day, Conrad didn't seem very serious. You know, most of the guys usually deny that they're flirting, so I understand Belly wanting to run away. I think her biggest problem was hanging out with Jeremiah.

Ive always thought of her as a unreliable narrator bc even when she shows them going ti the carnival together as children she internalized that conrad was there bc of the game girlie but it was soooo obvious it wasnt because he got her that plush that is the main prize and was very confused as to why she left him alone there 💀

It’s kinda complicated , cause signs and hints , mean just that , there’s no clarity in signs and hints , and assumption just leads to major humiliation, cause he could’ve always said “ I never said that “ , it’s not really unrealistic to prefer for someone to vocalise how they feel about you instead of playing guess games.

I get it, but something in the book that was shown poorly in the show is how much belly HATED The belly flop thing. So I think when she was angry at Conrad she was really just annoyed from the whole belly flop because in the books she expresses how humiliating it is, how it hurt her, and how she’s always hated it. Everything else is real though

Preach it girl! 🙌🏽 Belly is a very insecure person, which is why she chases anyone who shows interest. Also, she is very impatient with Conrad and their “love story”. She doesn't want to build a foundation. She just want to go 0 to 60 in a blink of an eye. Which is why her and here is an issue🙈

i was thinking about this just yesterday, with conrad she had such HIGH standards to how he should act cause she sees him as meaning so much to her right… and with jeremiah she just takes the absolute bare minimum cause she actually has no expectations with him she doesn’t really care that much
