my Mom is like this, she has a BA in French and LOVES duolingo, she learned like 5 languages. we wanted to suprises her with a trip to Europe and she did not want to go. she just likes learning the language, she won't leave the US🤣🤣🤣

To be fair, Duolingo did teach me how to ask someone, "Where is your cat?" in German. I think that's important.

The way Duolingo is teaching me Greek, every item in Greece is apparently pink. The mangoes, the water, the thrones at the museums, every noun is pink in at least 3 lessons out of the week 🤣🥴🥸

Back in the day Duolingo worked. Like the first two years before they changed the system. I learned German on it and improved my French and Spanish. But it’s just consistently gotten worse and now AI. Gross.
