I had a pharmacist tell me a few days ago that if I didn’t give the DEA number for an antibiotic, they would give the Rx back to the client and tell them we wouldn’t give the needed information for their Rx to be filled. Please do sir, and thanks!

Pharmacists don’t need DEA numbers to fill non-controlled substances because they’re NOT CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES. Period! Why CVS & Walgreens are the worst when it comes to this is beyond me!

CVS told me the only way to look up my Dr. is by the DEA #. seriously, my doc has a license #. try using it. that number is on the script

I called in prescriptions to 4 separate Publix pharmacies yesterday, and was asked for DEA numbers from 3 of them. None were controlled drug- one was for a Freestyle Libre!
