how harsh is it to look up the owner of this property and match it with his name? He gave them his name, dressed decent, no shoes as his right to walk that way on his land and a nice watch, clean shaven, well spoken, no cursing.

If they was looking for Elroy where is the picture of Elroy? If the cops don't have proof who they are looking for. This shows how incompetent the police dose their job of knowledge or investigation of proof. The guy was very peaceful he didn't attack or verbally threatened the cop in any way. If they were looking for Elroy they would have a warrant to be on private property.

I've seen this scenario 2 separate segments...he is quite adamant he is not Elroy. I suppose they might have wanted to peacefully look up Ben Day, before assuming that he looks like Elroy, who he didnt give the name of, who at one point used that address...could be a family member or previous owner...
