It’s really hard for me to comprehend that there are people who are defending the use of Adriana Smith’s body when it is clearly morally wrong on such a basic level. You don’t even need to understand the core principles of bioethics (autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice) or even moral theories (ie, Kantianism) to see that this is not okay. There is a concerning lack of basic human empathy in the U.S and it is being fueled by the weird rise of anti-intellectualism.

I genuinely don’t understand how people don’t get that allowing a natural death isn’t killing the fetus or an abortion. It’s the natural progression of what should happen if the mother died at 9 weeks pregnant. They know this won’t work because all attempts prior to 16 weeks have NEVER. NOT ONCE worked.
