My gelding was gelded at 3 or 4 yrs old, 17 hands, and he has TONS of stud behaviours. Can’t have a mare beside him in the barn, when the mares are in heat we don’t ride with them, I used to pray to the lord when I walked him by the mare paddocks a few years ago…lol…13 now, so he’s better - BUT - still can’t have mares in the barn beside him and we can’t ride with mares when they are in heat.

Hey little word of advice he might get even bigger because I remember he went through a growth spurt about a month ago my six-year-old just had a growth spurt so have fun with that information

My 6 year old does the same thing. Unfortunately I don’t know his background but I do wonder if he was gelded late. And if I don’t ride him constantly he will loose his $h!t. I feel your pain girl.

I think that every time he hears you mention his “gelding,” he remembers how pissed he is at what he’s missing. Can a horse hold a grudge?
