Graduated with CS in June and this is exactly my feelings! Very blessed to get a design internship but the company can’t support full time right now… contemplated going to front-end or other niches to be more marketable but I love designing. Thank you for sharing your journey 🤍

Isn’t the UI/UX at risk because of so many AI that were made to create good UI and even basic ones like ChatGpt and Claude being able to do it? I wanna dive deeper in that field but I’m worried about the overall work opportunities in the future

happy for you! same with me but a little different haha i’m also a cs student that started out as ui/ux designer and transitioned to front-end development. being a designer for more than 2 years really squeezed my creative juices so i had a hard time coping up with creativity block :((

Oh, that's the opposite for me. I got an arts & design degree. I want to go into UX/UI field as a UX/UI designer but later on, I would love to end up as a web developer or software engineer ☺️

I also studied computer science but always loved design more than codes. I’m still on the path of landing a full time as a UX designer but the more I explore this field the more I’m in love with it. The only regret is not switching major when I was still in college.
