@traceydferrin: If you are a man who walks ahead of her, not to get her door but out of lack of consideration….what example are you setting for your daughters and sons? A good man knows a woman can get her own door but won’t let her. My boys have been opening my door since before they could do it on their own. They were eager to do it because they saw their father do it for me and their sisters. We are raising him to be the kind of guy your daughter doesn’t need to recover from. This is one of those things that I believe whole heartedly in teaching young men to do for women of all ages. Especially, ones with children in tow and elderly women. I’ve watched both of them hold doors for all ages and and both genders, without hesitation. Good men will exist in every generation.
