That’s not a loophole. Any instrument rated pilot can get a 737 type rating. Nobody does it because you will be spending millions of dollars for it. It’s cheaper doing it the standard way.

That’s not required I’m in a iatpl program and I know friends who have gone straight to airlines flying passengers at 250 hours on a frozen airline license

It’s not a loophole…. FAA doesn’t care if you get you and your friends killed. It cares if you get people who would be unaware killed.

This isn’t a brilliant loophole. This is generally understood to be possible but very unlikely. Paying your way through a type rating with no ATP and finding a 737 part 91 operation is unheard of… unless of course you have an unlimited budget from HBO😂

While you do need 1500 hours to legally be an airline pilot in the US, his time at about 250 hours is more or less what European pilots can get their first airline job at

outside of america you don't need 1500 hours . I went from my CPL with around 220 hours to a commercial airline where i got type rated for a320/321 .

The entire show is about implicit power structures. The pilots can’t communicate because they’re a power structure. Nathan gets people to risk their lives on a plane because they’re no name actors and it’s an HBO production, he gets several actors to flirt with and kiss a pilot. It’s all about power structures that exist even when you say “no don’t worry it’s all okay.” Even the wings of voice
