I watched an inning with Chuck Tanner years ago. And he was worried about the future this was 2006ish. And monopoly k-12 schools in some places but we could talk about that.

You are CORRECT!! all started with the designated hitter. Eliminated so much strategy. Had very little to do with Dad hitting pictures. More to do with keeping aging hitters, making big money could not play defense.

Agreed to a point. The late start times & long games got out of hand. When I lived on the East Coast, weekday playoff games were going well past midnight. Baseball lost a generation of kids.
