@socialdchic: We work(ed) hard! 2-3 jobs. College degrees that people can't find jobs for, because they keep laying off more and more people... Most of the people I know don't own houses. Some of them are losing at the game of life, many many. As the gap gets bigger and bigger between the people who have and the people who don't, things will for sure will not be getting better. My generation got screwed. We've paid our whole lives into retirement on our paychecks to likely never see it. The vast majority of us are not living life, we are in survival mode. Living to work, not working to live. The solution for the "orange-y Mr. Potatohead" is to work harder. My generation has no safety net for our elderly years. In fact, Gen x is going to see that too..
