Wikipedia is a tertiary source relied upon by many people. Despite having articles and topics for every matter that have been present for a particular period of time (e.g., lessons regarding sciences, mathematics, geographies, fine arts, history, law and politics—whether it may be local or international—as well as famous people, artists, animals, international contests, and well-known universities), has a sort of reputation that puts it under thin ice. In Wikipedia, although you are required to input and peer review all of your sources, and wait for the Wikipedia contributors to approve your edits within the article, there may still be times where this process could be bypassed. Countless hoaxes have been lurking around the site since day one. All this formed an unbreakable reputation that Wikipedia is inaccurate. Thus, everyone avoids and discourages the use of Wikipedia for qualitative and quantitative research purposes. As well-known universities, including Harvard, mentioned: you, the researcher, shall check the sites the Wikipedia article cited individually rather than the Wikipedia article itself.
