@c4news: An elephant seal found more than a kilometre inland on the streets of Cape Town has been safely rescued and returned to the ocean. This is Gordy - named by the resident’s of Gordon’s Bay in Cape Town. He weighs a tonne and surprised many people when he appeared one morning a mile from the sea. Gordy is a southern elephant seal - which are normally found close to Antarctica. They tend not to be found resting on cars in suburbia.
