You cannot tell me Lestat didn’t love Claudia. He simply resented her bc she was a physical embodiment of his deepest guilt. He hated himself not his daughter.

people don’t understand that this is why lestat was the way he was towards her. was it right? no, in absolutely no way was it right. but he couldn’t allow himself to get close to someone he knew would meet a tragic end again. he warned louis. he felt guilty and in the end, it still rotted him inside to watch her die despite all of his attempts to keep her at arms length. that was his daughter, he was proud of her and all the strength she had regardless of her circumstance. she broke his heart.

louis did everything wrong bc he didn’t wanna be alone. his brother warned him about lestat but was the only one who made him feel something despite being a popular playboy. he became a vampire then lost his business, family, & the only thing he had cheated on him every chance he got. claudia was something to love him unconditionally and vice versa. it’s all so selfish but under louis’ circumstances… my heart hurts 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 it wasn’t right but he and claudia deserved so much better from the very beginning 💔💔
