✨☀️🌙SuzyQ🌙☀️✨ :
I will never summit Everest—not because I lack awe for those who do, but because I place a different value on what makes life worth living.
To stand atop the world’s highest peak is, for many, the pinnacle of human perseverance—a testament to grit, ambition, and the defiance of limits. I respect that deeply. I understand the call of the mountain, the hunger to prove oneself against nature’s rawest edge. And for some, that hunger is soul-defining.
But not for me.
For me, the cost is too high. Not just in frostbitten fingers or the gamble of thin air, but in something quieter: the knowledge that this one precious life I’ve been given could end in pursuit of a summit that holds no personal salvation. I don’t crave glory at the top of the world. I crave breath, connection, laughter, mornings with people I love, and the chance to grow old with stories that don’t require survival against avalanches.
Everest is a noble climb—but so is living wisely within the terrain of your own values. And I won’t trade my life for a view that doesn’t feel like home.🏡
