no actually like imagine being in his shoes. His whole life he’s been fighting, made it to the top, he’s the strongest despite sacrifices and losses. Sacrifices as in, he sacrificed caring for himself so that he could focus solely on caring for others, because that’s just his nature. Now, he’s lost his power and strength, which was the very thing that made him feel like he could be good and live up to Nana Shimura’s legacy. And, everyone publicly treats the loss of his quirk like he died, saying things like “Our Symbol of Peace is gone” “we have no one to save us now” right in front of Toshinori’s eyes. Everyone treats him now with such pity, almost like they’re looking down at him. Looking down on the very man that’s carried the whole country (+world) on his shoulders for decades. And with his weak and frail body, he himself knows he realistically can’t do anything about it. (He also has severe low self esteem about it, I’m sure.)….anyways, I feel like nobody takes the “I’ve decided to keep on living” panel seriously. (I’m just ranting now) even in this unhealthy physical state, he still feels like he always could’ve done something to save everyone, even if it’s minor, and it really hurts him when he can’t. He’s so kind, and a hero at heart, physically strong and powerful or not. After Camino Ward, nobody listened to him, and nobody took him seriously. Even his own students, even Izuku, his literal successor who was also his biggest fan..? Anyways..if you see me while you’re walking at night, walk faster. 🥀
