Autism is "fun" until you get so badly attached to another universe that you cry because you feel like you were born in the wrong universe and your heart literally aches and feels like it's breaking when you see angst of a character you are deeply connected to because of how connected to them you are and sometimes how much you might see yourself in them

My parents call my meltdowns abusive and basically blame me for the reason the family is falling apart. I will literally be just sitting there having a panic attack then my dad will tell me to “calm down” in the most unsympathetic voice which automatically makes it worse. I try so hard to mask my meltdowns but it’s hard and so draining.

To the people claiming violence isn’t a trait because they know autistic people and those people aren’t like that; Autism has multiple ‘levels’, which means not everyone experiences it the same. I have autism, but the ‘lowest level’, whilst my brother has a more ‘higher level’. He, in fact, gets aggressive during his meltdowns. Whilst normally he is a kind and caring boy. Just because you haven’t witnessed it, doesn’t mean that it’s automatically false.

I struggle with self destruction a lot, once when we were coming back from the psychiatrist my mom asked me "I want to help you but I don't know how, will this be a permanent thing?" It genuinely makes me so sad, I don't want to be a burden my entire life
