The purpose of art is that different people might interpret the same drawing differently. When doing it I just thought that it'll be funny to draw a kiwi with wings but some people have found it a different meaning and that's totally okay so y'all should stop hating in the comments

if you want to know the story of the kiwi here it is: Tane Mahuta, the forest god, called upon the birds to help him save his trees from being eaten by insects. Among the birds, the kiwi was the only one willing to make the sacrifice and live on the forest floor to eat the insects. The kiwi's willingness to sacrifice its wings and feathers was motivated by its love for the forest and its desire to help Tane Mahuta. As a result of the kiwi's sacrifice, Tane Mahuta made the kiwi the most well-known and best-loved bird in all of Aotearoa.

according to Maori legend, kiwis used to be able to fly but the father of the trees needed a bird to go and live on the ground forever to eat the bugs that were eating his children, no birds responded so the father of the birds got involved, all the birds said no and gave an excuse except for the kiwi, he knew kiwi knew they'd never see the sun again but still agreed, losing his wings that were so colorful and beautiful

“oo nice drawin-“ my voice stopped. i sat there, looking at my phone while the video kept going on loop. hearing the same lyrics on repeat, “one day im going to grow wings”. i feel a spart pain in my heart each breath i take, i look down. theres blood, all over my clothes and bed. im still sitting there, in disbelief of what im seeing. i touch my stomach full of blood, theres something sharp. a kitchen knife, right through my intestines. suddenly i feel hurt, upset and tired. tired of going through the same thing every time. tired of getting stabbed and getting reborn. but no.. this time was different.. i look behind me.. its the crewtor of the video. “feeling alright, Hermes?” they say as they start to tear up, knowing what their doing. “what are u doing to me.. why..” i say silently. “im sorry it has to end like this..” i stand up from my bed, crying in pain and agony as the knife slices my skin. suddenly a sharp and slow pain kicks. i look back down to see them.. twisting the knife. i look up.. “im sorry, Hermes.” “ho.. did u just.l stab me?”
