I’m so happy that my home will never be “millennial grey”. There are OLD hardwood floors, I have a wide array of different decor styles throughout the house, an entire side table of nothing but rocks and crystals, a bookshelf with tons of thrifted books, a wall with my great grandma’s antique wall decor all displayed. My home will always be unique. 💁🏼♀️

I just painted my white and gray house green with black trim and a purple door. My painter was worried about the resale. I just bought the house! I'm not selling it for hopefully a couple of decades! Plus there are now 2 other houses in the neighborhood that have copied my colors! (Minus the door.) We are dying for COLOR!

When I sold my old place, I thought it looked wonderful. The walls were beautiful colors I personally chose and painted myself. Greens, purples, blues. Then I overheard the woman who bought my house was going to paint every room and gray and my heart broke. When I moved into a new place, which was other ways gorgeous, but EVERY ROOM IS GRAY. Going to repaint because I can't live surrounded by grayness like I'm in Silent Hill.

This is why I bought an old home. Beautiful arch ways, brick walls, real hardwood floors, actual pockets of storage. Yes, it was grey but I painted every room. Blues, green, yellow. I even did a space mural in my son’s room. We want color 🥺

Noticed this just yesterday. A Tiktoker had a green toaster I wanted to order. Green was only sold in Europe. Only colors available in the US were white, black and gray. The US is boring.
