I hate to do brake inspections for free! Because I expend a lot of my time and the customer got the diagnostic and he said, thanks I ‘ll fix by mi self.

Back when I worked for Toyota we had a Tacoma getting a frame the customer came in because they needed a couple things out of the truck. They went straight to sales after seeing the truck because “there was no way that thing is going to be going back together again” 😂

Including rack time, removing wheels and courtesy inspection, the actual brake inspection should take about 15 minutes. But then you have to account for how long SW takes to make estimate, and how long customer takes to answer or call back lol so like 2 hours is accurate

Yeah I’m an advisor and I just check their pads in the drive. I’m not on commission. Then I’ll sell a full set of pads and rotors with a flush.

“This is mine?!” 😳 Customer shocked the tech removed the entire subframe! But hey at they were transparent about the 2 hour, thorough brake inspection….only to tell him his brake pads were “not as bad” as he thought! 🤣🤣🤣
