That could be the case, I’m not fully sure. From my perspective, as a casual character designer, I find it aesthetically more appealing the way lightning looks on black characters. Maybe it could be the same for other creatives.

The reason the hulk is green is because at the time gray was a hard colour to keep consistent so they settled on green which was easier to work with.

I’m pretty sure black ppl having lighting powers has to do with Afros. Yt ppl hair get frizzy when they produce electricity so they thought black ppl already like that. That’s what I always thought and saw it was just racist
