this is completely anecdotal to my group, but we don't like proxies because we use the price of cards as somewhat of a balancing mechanism. I don't have an issue with other people using proxies, but we limit ourselves by our wallets lmao

I am fine with proxies if the original card is too expensive for the player. I play the One Piece TCG and Mr 2 from EB01 is now 80 dollars a piece. That's way too expensive for almost any player.
