Trump has no idea what costs are because he has everyone to do everything for him, and yes including his shopping! He tried to say inflation is down, eggs are down, gas is down but he doesn’t do his own grocery shopping and gaurantee doesn’t pump his own gas! He is ruining the economy even more than any administration ever has!

What people seem to refuse to accept is, the🤡 Trump did this his 1st term, it didn't all go into effect until 2020 so the inflation from his fiscal policies got blamed on Biden. Should Biden have rolled back the 🤡s policies, yes.

@David Sobeski: The cost to make the sweater is the same. Language is importsnt. China isn’t paying more for cotton or labor. The cost for the American retailer to acquire that sweater had gone up. But the cost to make it remains the same - no inflation to make the good.

That calculation is wrong. You don’t have to calculate the cost of production, you have to calculate the cost of the distributor/ importer as first. The product will cost the same in production.

This also doesn't take into account that retailers take 25% so that needs to be added to the cost as well. This example only works for manufacturer to consumer, which most don't have the option to do. Most people either shop at an online or physical retail shop like Walmart or Target.

And no one ever talks about the sales tax, us, the consumers pays. In this example, instead of paying sales tax on $30, we end up paying sales tax on $57.92. We get taxed twice.
