i understand he was feeling frustrated, but hitting the table was a choice. while playing. video games, i’ve felt the same rage as people that have thrown their controller at their TV, except i’ve never done that myself because i’ve never made that choice. he apologized, but if anything, that only serves to show that he did it despite being aware of how it was perceived. only to CONTINUE slamming the chess pieces after apologizing, before giving his opponent a passing slap on the back without even looking him in the eye. his behavior was (selfishly) passionate, but not sportsmanlike or respectful.
