The 787 is made of carbon composite, which isn’t super repair-friendly. Big carbon fiber patch repairs often become a point of potential future failure. I wouldn’t be that surprised if this damage is deemed uneconomical to fix, and the whole plane gets scrapped. Imagine all the hydraulic lines and wires it ripped through too.

As a Ground Service Staff level 3, I can say that it’s unlikely he will be fired. Airports have comprehensive insurance that typically covers incidents like this. While he may temporarily lose his airport driving license due to the accident, it’s common for staff to reapply after a certain period and return to duty once cleared. These situations are taken seriously, but they’re also part of the risks managed within the industry وللسعوديين لاتخافون علئ طيارتك حترجع جديده ولا تنسو (الله يحفظها كتابة الملك فهد رحمه الله)

That doesn't look that bad... Unless they have to completely replace the systems and structures it doesn't look more than 15k-20k in repairs.

Don’t bother fixing it we know Boeing like to take shortcuts on there repairs. Just scrap it and use it for parts or something
