Hawaii can be expensive if you do a lot of excursions that require you to pay. Or you can do a lot of free stuff where you don’t have to pay. I’ve spent 5 days and spent 6k and I’ve spent 11 days and spent less than 2k

When you go to the beaches, leave them cleaner than you find them! Help out, take one less selfie and take two minutes to pick up all your trash and any ocean plastic you find! The turtles, fish, seabirds, seals can eat the plastic bits and die! Aloha 💙

Black sand beaches form from rapid lava cooling.. constant volcanic activity (esp. Kīlauea) renews them. Erosion happens, but lava supply outpaces loss.. they won’t vanish in our lifetime.
