This is 100% why I am considering using a technique I saw on here of getting organisers to help you move. Because they do the unpacking and putting away so change is done in one big burst, and there’s no sitting staring at the boxes or not being able to use the garage or a room because of the boxes.

I have moved basically every 2 years since I was 18, my trick is saving up as much money as I can and hiring people for EVERYTHING. I have to get these boxes packed because movers will be here tomorrow and then the cleaning crew will be here tomorrow evening so there's no option to go into panic paralysis. I take pictures of my place as is and have trusted friends unpack less crucial rooms like the bathroom and kitchen while I do the office and bedroom. I let myself have 3 days of pure anxiety hell and then it's done and my new place is settled. I usually have a friend or family member stay the night at the new place until it feels and smells like home ya know? makes things safe.
