When the flashbacks showed her crying over the empty hospital bed, it made sense—she knew her daughter was gone, but her mind just couldn’t accept it. The grief was too much. Her daughter’s death was the final blow—the last straw. That’s the thing about grief. It doesn’t just break you—it rearranges you. And sometimes, you don’t even realize how far gone someone is until it’s too late.
