@stillscrollingpodcast: Derek vs Everyone on ‘Stranger Things’ and whether or not it could sustain a weekly release. What do you think? #strangerthings #netflix #tudum
Andor season 2 did it best. 3 episodes at a time for 4 weeks. It really built up the suspense and stretched out the conversation. that being said I personally love being able to binge everything at once.

People watched The Rehearsal weekly… I don’t understand his argument it has to be a “hype” show to be weekly? Plus IT IS A HYPE SHOW! It’s Netflix number 1 show and has been for years

That makes no sense for them. They are trying to get a huge number each time.

ppl who really loved or love stranger things r the ppl who will enjoy the show no matter how they release it. as upsetting as cliffhangers r if each episode ended with a cliffhanger we would be excited for the next episode because we wanna know what happens

just release the whole thing, put the fries in the Mf Bag or pack it up on a shelf. streaming wasnt meant for Weekly release, go get Cable if you want "the suspense of waiting"
plus, for stranger things. it's taken way too long to get to S5 from the 1st. the hype died for a majority back in S3. the seasons are too short (especially for everything to take as long as it has).

Weekly episodes would be boring if they would come weekly per one episode,or when would be all released at once, for me it’s really entertaining and fun to wait for the three volumes first 4 episodes, then 3 and finale

Netflix doesn't do weekly releases because they see "binging" as a part of their brand. But, they want people to have to stick around at least a couple months for their favorite show so they've adopted this split release model which is the WORST
Stranger Things would absolutely work as a weekly release. It's a mystery show, look at how much talk and speculation people have had in the years long waits between seasons. Why wouldn't there be that same energy week to week?

It works as a binge show… it’s not captivating enough to watch week after week. When they split the last season and ppl were upset

I kinda agree with him. we just haven't experienced it week to week to see if it really holds up. BUT, I do think that show is just amazing.

I would much rather watch week to week than wait for chunks over a month an a half.

I was interested in the first two seasons of Stranger Things in that way. season 3 started losing me, and by season 4, I was actively disinterested. it felt like they were just treading water a lot of the time

I play D&D and honestly I’m fucking done with this show. Stranger things has done nothing for D&D that multiple MULTIPLE other shows have done. The show is average at best & the people who make it suck, honestly.
