I don’t think it has to be “trauma.” I’ve just learned through life that I can only depend on myself. And when you let people do “favors” they use it to manipulate later. I protect my peace.

hell yes, my other trauma response is running away. I can pack and unpack a full house and kids in two days by myself ..... FYI I've been happily married for 30 years, he's in the RAF, I just make sure he's absent when it's move time 🤣
