probably boxing is most valid because of the footwork. the fight isn't going to be 1 v 1 and people are going to use knives and any kind of weapon. so being nimble and capable of getting away is the best street fighting martial arts.

I love this debate. IMHO, Judo is the most effective MA for self defense. The take downs are devastating to an untrained opponent, and allows you to stay on your feet, and doesn't rely on you having superior striking ability.

its NOT, simply because street fights are never one to one. having grown up in the hood. Thisbis why dojo fighters lack experience. one to one , simple MA walk away. Street multiple attacks on you, NEVER GO TO THE GROUND!

do that with multiple opponents at the same time most street fights are not 1v1. Boxing, kick boxing, krav maga are the best way to go.

Back in the early 70s I flipped a guy who was much bigger than me in the school bathroom with a judo move I learned on TV. It worked like a charm. I later trained and got black in several other disciplines

Boxing: Footwork, distancing, bob, weave, pivot from lead and rear leg, throwing 12 different angles of attack. (Young Mike Tyson or Ali) Muay Thai: Devastating power and destruction Judo: Off balancing opponent to perform powerful throws and submissions Wrestling and BJJ: Specializing in submission. CONCLUSION: It's all good. Different goals but only as effective as the proper training.

Super dangerous. So much that I’d say you need to be careful to not kill someone without reasonable cause. You slam someone on concrete over an argument there is a good possibility they will be hospitalized, paralyzed, suffer a bad concussion, or worse, they die.
