I broke up w my hs bf on my birthday bc he got me tickets to a white socks game and they were also for that day when we had planned to go to 6flags lol. I don’t do sports. I don’t do white socks either - he said to me “I’m gonna make you a white socks fan” and gave me the tickets and a t shirt. We broke up and didn’t make it to the game 😂 he got that gift for himself LOL

I got concert tickets to someone I had never heard of. I had asked for a iPod to use when I run. He bought himself the iPod. He bought the tickets to look good at work. NTA. He is selfish and doesn’t care about you.

I think it’s great when a partner takes an interest and wants to get involved in your hobbies-but there’s a right way to do it. Don’t go out an invest a bunch of money and materials if your partner has no interest and definitely DO NOT gift the materials during major celebrations like birthdays or Christmas🙃
