Totally agree, but I had a friend who did this and got black listed from these apps. They have the right to refuse people doing exactly this. I encourage people to do it but once you start being really profitable they will black listed you especially do you use promos

Great commentary. This gambling addiction is going to be hard for many. I’ve already seen some bets go bad on this app and seen their reactions. Betting rent money, grocery money, car payment money all for that chance to score the big one. It’s so crazy to see in real time how betting has gotten legalized and how widespread it is. You can’t escape the ads anywhere.

This is why we need to put pressure to REGULATE this industry. I’m okay with these companies creating odds in their favor, I’m not okay with them having the ability to ban winners and only accept bets from losers. That absolutely should be illegal and the government needs to step in and regulate here.

Sports books want handle they don’t take the losers money they use it to pay the winners less a margin. They do not care if you individually lose they just want enough bets at good enough odds that the winners don’t take more money than they took in

Either your bet was so small it didn’t matter or you’re exaggerating. Every book has a “obvious error” clause in the ToS for exactly that situation.

Great stuff. The books know about your favorite power rating or whatever. and they fucking love parlay bettors, that's why they're always advertising them. And the sportsbooks are propping up huge swaths of sports media, from The Athletic to RSNs to podcasts to the goddamned Worldwide Leader itself, it's all bankrolled by sportsbooks at this point. Where do you think they get the money to pay for all of that?
