Hi Charly, I was watching your video and thinking about my little stretch of main road and my local coffee shop that knows my name and then you said Mile End Bagels and that is it! That is my local coffee shop! Crazy! I have a similar experience of that Main Street. I live on it and can’t really take out my bins without waving at two shop-owners I vaguely know and running into a friend. It is a good life.

i just moved to melbourne and i so badly want to be friends with people like you. this was lovely to watch, ive been feeling apprehensive about making friends here because everything here is so unfamiliar. this gave me some hope that in this new city there are lovely, jolly, kind people and all i need to do is put myself out there and find them 🌸🥰

Yes and this is what I’ve loved about growing up in regional aus. There’s not as many friendly people/strangers who will happily chat while waiting for coffee in the city. A positive interaction can truly change the course of that strangers day :)

i kinda miss taking the bus everyday bc i remember building this kind of unspoken bond with the people who always took the same route 🥹 i left my airpods behind one time and a woman who took the same bus almost every morning and afternoon told me a few days later she knew they were mine and had handed them into council lost and found 😭 we were always silently looking out for each other
