This happened with my friend’s cat! When we met him (her step dad’s cat) he was like 14 years old and always so mean and we were truly scared of him! Wouldn’t let you pet him at all. After like 6 or 7 years he was suddenly coming up and asking for attention, like he realized he was getting really old and we just wanted to love him and he finally let us 🥲 he lived to be like 24
