I understand. I had to draw a line with my mom mostly to protect my boys. cause she too crossed the line. She passed away 2 years ago and I do wish things were different between us but I make no apology for protecting my kids and myself from toxicity

My MIL went 3 years without talking to my husband (her oldest child) because she would rather not have a relationship with her son or 4 of her her grandkids then to ever admit she did anything wrong and apologize. I could never imagine going 3 days without talking to any of my kids.
