and then you recommend Plex.... which is just as bad as every streaming service you mentioned. has ads. has live tv subscriptions. has monthly paid subscription for their terrible "cloud service". mobile apps that cost money.... Plex is terrible... use emby or jellyfin. personally I use jellyfin.

support local libraries!!! they have shows on dvd w whole seasons, any movie you can think of (if they don’t have it you can wait 1 DAY and they will find the movie you want at another branch!) AND ITS FREE!!!

Good idea, you can do that with music as well. Rip your CDs to FLAC files and transfer them from your computer to phone and use a music player like Pulsar to listen to much higher audio quality than Spotify will ever give you.
