My ortho recommended me this procedure….I couldn’t the recovery is so long but I heard afterwards look so good!

For me it was having issues breathing and then the pain, after the hospital they send me home with 500mg of Motrin (that's it)

Leaving this here for anyone interested: I’m on day 18. Yes the worst pain happens during the first 2 weeks, It just started going down for me but it still there, for me Ibup… is the only thing that lessens it and nights are worst. Not only the insissions hurt as bone is healing, but for me it’s also and moslty really bad tooth and headaches. I’m usually a live in the present kind of girl but right now I just want it to speed up so I can be a day without pain.

My husband is 4wk PO. What were you able to eat once getting the split off? He’s getting his off next week and excited to eat “normally” again but what do they let you eat?!

Was there a lot of bleeding for the weeks after? I’ve seen videos of people having constant nosebleeds or just blood dribbling out of their mouth and it scares me a lot from having the procedure lol
