You don’t have to be sore to get a great workout. 
In fact, constantly chasing soreness can backfire. The soreness you feel after a workout called DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) is a response to doing something your muscles weren’t ready for. This could be:
👉 A new exercise your body isn’t used to
👉 Increasing sets, reps, or intensity too quickly
👉 Emphasizing the eccentric (lowering) part of a lift
👉 Coming back from time off and going too hard too soon Soreness happens because tiny tears occur in your muscle fibers. That’s not bad, some breakdown is part of growth.
 But being sore doesn’t mean you had a better workout. And it definitely doesn’t mean you’re building more muscle. In fact, constantly training to the point of soreness can hurt your recovery, mess with your performance, and derail consistency. You know what actually drives progress? ✅ Progressive overload
✅ Solid movement patterns
✅ Consistency over time
✅ Nutrition, recovery, and sleep
✅ Not skipping leg day… or warm-ups Soreness is just a side effect. 
Not a requirement. 
Not a trophy. 
Not a sign you “did it right.” On the flip side, if you’re NEVER sore, it might be an indication that you have adapted to the current workout routine and need to change something up.
